Netanyahu Shares Intel on Iran Nuclear Program During UAE Summit

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. An Israeli source familiar with the details told CNN that Netanyahu presented new Israeli intelligence indicating renewed progress in Iran's nuclear program. The information included details about new construction at the "Kish Mountain" site, located about 280 kilometers south of Tehran, considered a central location in Iran's efforts to revive its nuclear program.

The issue of Iran, an area where Israel and the Emirates have deepened their cooperation during the current war, was a focal point of the discussions. Two sources told CNN that a senior Saudi security official was also present at the meeting. The parties discussed regional developments, the Houthi militia in Yemen, and the vital shipping routes in Bab al-Mandab and the Strait of Hormuz.

The source added that Netanyahu warned those present that Israel assesses Iran might initiate an attack in the region in the coming weeks. The official UAE news agency (WAM) confirmed the meeting, marking the first time the country has publicly acknowledged a visit by Netanyahu. The agency reported that the leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations, while the Prime Minister's office stated the meeting focused on strengthening ties and regional challenges.

Netanyahu was accompanied by his wife, the head of the National Security Council, the head of the Mossad, his military secretary, and a diplomatic advisor.
