Netanyahu Shared Intelligence on Iran Nuclear Program with UAE President

During a visit to the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented intelligence information to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, indicating Iran's renewed progress on its nuclear program. The intelligence reportedly included details about new construction activities at Iran's "Mountain of the Machine" site, according to a CNN report citing two sources familiar with the visit.

The meeting, which took place in Abu Dhabi earlier this week, also included a senior Saudi security official. Beyond the nuclear issue, discussions between the leaders covered other regional developments, such as threats from Yemen's Houthi militia, securing the strategic Bab-el-Mandeb strait at the entrance to the Red Sea, and maritime freedom in the Strait of Hormuz.

The UAE's official news agency confirmed the meeting, stating that bin Zayed hosted Netanyahu for a political discussion. The official statement mentioned that the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them across various sectors. This confirmation came after a period of media silence from Abu Dhabi regarding the meeting's existence.

Israeli political circles view the second meeting between Netanyahu and bin Zayed in just a few months as evidence that the UAE considers its relationship with Israel a long-term strategic asset, independent of leadership changes. The Prime Minister's office also issued a statement confirming the visit, noting that it focused on strengthening ties and addressing regional challenges, with participation from Israel's National Security Advisor, Mossad chief, Military Secretary, and Diplomatic Advisor.
