Netanyahu Briefs UAE President on Iran Nuclear Threat Amidst Saudi Presence

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday, presenting intelligence indicating Iran's renewed efforts to develop nuclear weapons. A senior Saudi security official was also present at the meeting, according to a CNN report. The visit, publicly confirmed by both the UAE's official news agency WAM and Netanyahu's office, marked the first public acknowledgment by Abu Dhabi of an Israeli prime minister visiting the country.

The discussions primarily focused on the Iranian threat, a security area where Israel and the UAE have deepened their cooperation. Netanyahu shared specific details about new construction at the underground facility in Isfahan, located approximately 225 kilometers south of Tehran, which is believed to be a central site for Iran's nuclear program.

The leaders also discussed the Houthi rebels in Yemen, another area of regional concern. The meeting underscores the growing alignment between Israel and some Arab nations in confronting perceived Iranian aggression and destabilization in the region.
