Israel Braces for Cooler Temperatures and Scattered Showers This Week

Israel is set to experience cooler than average temperatures and localized rainfall throughout the week. On Wednesday, expect variable cloudiness with scattered showers, primarily in the north and along the coastal plain. Morning rain is also anticipated in the Shefela region and along the coast, with temperatures remaining below seasonal norms.

Thursday will bring more light, localized precipitation to northern areas and the coastal plain, with temperatures continuing to be cooler than usual. Friday, ahead of the Simchat Torah holiday, will see renewed local rain in the north, where isolated thunderstorms are possible. The southern Negev may experience a few drops or light showers, while temperatures in the central and southern regions are expected to rise slightly.

By Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with local rain continuing in the north as temperatures gradually increase. Current temperatures are forecast for Jerusalem (25-17°C), Tel Aviv (28-23°C), Haifa (28-22°C), Safed (25-17°C), Katzrin (30-19°C), Tiberias (31-21°C), Nazareth (29-20°C), Afula (31-21°C), Beit She'an (33-23°C), Lod (29-22°C), Ashdod (28-22°C), Ein Gedi (32-24°C), Beersheba (29-20°C), Mitzpe Ramon (27-18°C), and Eilat (33-25°C).
