Rain Returns to Israel After Heatwave, Affecting Holiday Week

Israel is set to experience a shift in weather as a cooler, rainy system arrives, bringing showers primarily to the north and temperatures below the seasonal average. This change follows an unseasonably warm start to the week, which mirrored conditions experienced throughout the previous month.

On Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy and cooler than usual, with scattered rain expected mainly in northern Israel. Thursday will see a similar trend, remaining partly cloudy and cool, with light, localized rain potentially extending to the coastal plain.

A more active rain system is forecast for the weekend, particularly in the north, while temperatures will rise in the central and southern regions. On Friday, skies will be partly to fully cloudy, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms anticipated in the north. Simultaneously, a slight temperature increase is expected in central and southern Israel, with a chance of light drizzle or local rain in the southern Negev.

The pattern will continue into Saturday, with partly cloudy skies and continued local rain predominantly in the north. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country.
