Israeli Lawmaker Halts Live Interview to Tend to Newborn and Child
A live interview with Israeli lawmaker Zvi Sukkot on Channel 14 was unexpectedly interrupted when his young son entered the room during a discussion about the war with Hamas. Sukkot, who was being interviewed by Noy Bar about the situation in Gaza, had to pause his remarks to address his son.
As the child entered, Sukkot was heard telling him, "Go to Maayan, she'll help you, okay?" He then attempted to resume the serious conversation about eliminating Hamas, stating, "These people are all deserving of death, every one of them and Hamas." However, the child's presence continued to affect the interview.
Sukkot explained to the viewers and the interviewer that his wife had given birth just a few days prior and he was simultaneously acting as a babysitter. "My wife gave birth a few days ago, so I'm also serving as a babysitter like this," he said.
He then asked his daughter for help with the child, "Hillel David." After this brief family interruption, the interview attempted to return to its original topic, with Sukkot reiterating his stance on Hamas: "I... will eliminate Hamas."
