Orion Goren Debuts for Israel U21 in Victory Over Slovenia

Oriyon Goren, a promising young talent from Barcelona Athletic, made his debut for the Israeli U21 national team on Tuesday in a match against Slovenia. Goren, who is significantly younger and shorter than many of his opponents, played in central midfield alongside Niv Yehoshua and Ran Benjamin. He faced experienced players, including Luka Topalovic, who is 10 cm taller and valued at three million euros, and Nike Vihar.

Israel secured a 3-2 victory in the game. Goren was substituted in the 69th minute by Navot Ratner when Israel was trailing 2-1. The Israeli team controlled possession for 50% of the match and had eight shots on target, matching Slovenia's output.

Goren, who recently played for the U19 national team under Ofir Haim, is taking his first steps in professional football with Barcelona Athletic. He is expected to potentially play in the U21 team's next match against Norway in a week.

This debut marks a significant step for Goren, who is competing against players four years his senior and demonstrating his potential on an international stage.
