Israeli boxer Ahava Hashem Gordon, 20, underwent a medical procedure on Tuesday that he had postponed for an extended period. Hours after the surgery, his wife, Oren Levy, 20, shared an update from the recovery ward, reassuring followers about his condition. She posted a photo of Gordon in his hospital bed, writing, "Thank you all for the prayers and concern, he is doing very well, recovering slowly. He will come out of this very strong, thank God. Continue to pray for his complete recovery. Ahava Hashem ben Azriel."
The boxer's hospitalization comes after a demanding year. Gordon had recently announced he needed to pause his busy schedule to address the medical issue he had repeatedly deferred. In a video posted before his admission, he acknowledged that the recovery would not be short but promised to document the process weekly for his audience.
Gordon and Levy were married just over a month prior in Hadera, with approximately 1,000 guests attending. Following the wedding, they embarked on a 12-day honeymoon in Zanzibar.
