Muay Thai Fighter Ahavat Hashem Gordon Opens Up About Sacrifices Ahead of Wedding
Ahavat Hashem Gordon, a 20-year-old Muay Thai fighter from Israel, is preparing to marry his fiancée, Oren Levy, on August 23. Ahead of the wedding, Gordon shared a heartfelt post reflecting on the sacrifices he made to reach his current status in the sport. He revealed that throughout his life, he rarely had the chance to enjoy or celebrate like others his age, emphasizing the many sacrifices he endured to achieve his goals.
Recently, Gordon took his first real vacation in years, traveling to Rhodes, Greece, with close friends and his brother for his bachelor party. He described the experience as fulfilling a deep need to relax, laugh, and celebrate life with loved ones. Gordon expressed gratitude to his friends for making the trip unforgettable.
Gordon rose to national prominence last year after a highly publicized victory over Turkish fighter Ali Koyuncu at the UTMA event in Lithuania. The match carried political weight due to Koyuncu's anti-Israel remarks. Gordon entered the ring wearing a kippah and tzitzit, symbolizing his identity, and won decisively. He received numerous touching messages, especially from IDF soldiers, which moved him to tears.
The couple got engaged in January when Gordon proposed on one knee. They plan to marry in a traditional Jewish ceremony attended by around a thousand guests. Gordon has publicly stated that from the moment he met Levy, he knew she was the woman of his life.
This upcoming wedding marks a significant personal milestone for Gordon, who has balanced intense athletic dedication with his personal life and public role as a national sports figure.
