Dramatic Rescue: Worker Rescued After Losing Consciousness in Crane Cabin 55 Meters High
A dramatic rescue operation took place Tuesday at a construction site in Kiryat Bialik, northern Israel, after a worker in his 40s lost consciousness in a crane cabin approximately 55 meters above the ground. Medical personnel suspect the incident was due to a medical issue.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Shi Tesler ascended the crane using its ladders, equipped with medical gear, to reach the worker. "When we arrived at the construction site, they told us that a worker in the crane cabin had lost consciousness," Tesler recounted. "I harnessed myself and climbed with medical equipment on the crane using the ladders to a height of about 55 meters, where I saw a man in his 40s unconscious."
Tesler administered life-saving medical treatment, including sedation, while firefighters began a complex rescue using ropes. "I provided him with life-saving medical treatment that included sedation during the complex rescue operations carried out by firefighters using ropes," Tesler added.
After the worker was lowered from the crane, MDA teams transported him by intensive care ambulance to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. He was reported to be in stable condition.
