Construction Worker Falls Five Meters in Herzliya, Critically Injured
A construction worker in his 50s suffered severe injuries after falling approximately five meters at a building site on President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi Street in Herzliya on Sunday morning. The incident was reported to Magen David Adom (MDA) at 08:48, prompting an urgent medical response. Paramedics and emergency medical technicians arrived quickly, providing life-saving treatment at the scene before transporting the unconscious man to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. He sustained a serious head injury and remains in critical and unstable condition.
MDA paramedic Kira Symonds and emergency medical technician Neve Harel, among the first responders, described the challenging rescue operation and the complex medical care administered on site. They recounted finding the worker unconscious with a severe head trauma following the fall and emphasized the urgency of the evacuation to the hospital.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall. The workplace accident has been reported to the Ministry of Labor as required by protocol.
