Seven Unauthorized Palestinians Found Hidden in Truck at Ofer Crossing
Security forces at the Ofer Crossing apprehended a driver and discovered seven unauthorized Palestinians concealed in the cargo area of his vehicle on Tuesday. The vehicle attracted the attention of the commander of the joint Border Police and crossing forces unit, prompting a thorough inspection. During the search, the forces were surprised to find the seven individuals hidden in the truck's cargo hold, apparently attempting to bypass security checks.
Initial investigations suggest the driver picked up the individuals near Route 443, reportedly for a payment of approximately 700 shekels per person. The driver and the seven unauthorized Palestinians were arrested at the scene and transferred for further investigation.
The Border Police stated that its forces will continue to operate resolutely to locate and apprehend unauthorized individuals and those who assist them in entering and moving illegally.
