Rod Stewart Announces Final Major Tour in 2027 at Age 81

Legendary British singer Rod Stewart, 81, has announced that his 2027 concert tour, titled 'The Final Encore,' will be his last major tour, concluding a career spanning over six decades. Stewart clarified that this marks the end of large-scale tours, not a complete retirement from music. The tour is set to commence on April 23, 2027, in Dublin, Ireland, and will feature 21 performances across the UK and Europe, with the final show scheduled for July 24, 2027, in Hanover, Germany. Stops will include London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, and Copenhagen, with additional dates planned in the United States.

Stewart emphasized that he will continue to create music and perform at smaller events. This decision follows a recent challenging period of health issues. He had previously postponed dates due to vocal cord problems and later canceled the remainder of a tour after undergoing a cardiac procedure. His wife, Penny Lancaster, revealed that doctors discovered a blocked artery requiring a stent, stating, "Fortunately, it was at the right time and the right place."

Stewart, who has sold over 250 million records worldwide and is known for hits like 'Maggie May' and 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?', has received numerous accolades, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a Grammy for lifetime achievement. He has performed in Israel three times, with his most recent appearance in 2017 at Yarkon Park, where he performed 'Sailing' with Israeli singer Rita.
