Rod Stewart Announces Final Concert Tour, 'The Final Encore'

Legendary singer Rod Stewart has announced that his upcoming concert tour, titled 'The Final Encore,' will be his last. Stewart, who has been performing for over six decades, stated in a message to fans that it is time to say goodbye to life on the road. He expressed gratitude for a career that has given him a life beyond his wildest dreams and hopes he has provided fans with pleasant memories.

Stewart has a history of performing in Israel, first visiting in 1983 for a major concert at Ramat Gan Stadium during the peak of his fame. He returned nearly three decades later in 2010 for a show at Nokia Arena, which was marred by sound issues. His third and final performance in Israel to date was in June 2017 at Park Hayarkon, where he was joined on stage by Israeli singer Rita for a duet of 'Sailing.'

Despite his age and recent health concerns, Stewart has remained active, topping the UK album charts in 2024 with 'Swing Fever.' However, he was forced to postpone dates last summer due to vocal cord issues and later canceled the remainder of a tour after undergoing a medical procedure on his heart.

'The Final Encore' tour is scheduled to begin on April 23, 2027, in Dublin, with stops planned in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Prague, concluding on July 24 in Hanover. Two previously postponed shows in Colorado in September may potentially be his very last performances. Stewart emphasized that this farewell is to touring, not to music, leaving the door open for one-off shows and studio recordings.
