Son of Well-Known Singer Arrested for Drug Trafficking; Customers Confirm Purchases
An investigation into the son of a prominent singer, suspected of drug trafficking, has advanced with at least four customers telling investigators they purchased drugs from him. Mobile phone data also revealed correspondence with customers, i24NEWS reported Tuesday. The suspect, a 28-year-old resident of Modi'in, was arrested on September 24 during an operation by officers from the Oz station in the Jerusalem district. Approximately 1.1 kilograms of suspected cannabis, divided into dozens of small bags, were found in his vehicle. He appeared in court for a remand hearing, where his detention was extended until October 2 to allow for further investigation.
During a police operation last week, officers noticed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion and signaled the driver to stop for a search. The cannabis was discovered during this search. The suspect's mother is a well-known singer in Israel.
