Israeli social media personality Romy Aberjel, 25, has shared her harrowing experiences, including a severe medical condition and legal issues in Thailand, during an appearance on the "Walla Ishi" podcast. Aberjel, who moved to Thailand several years ago, detailed a period of intense suffering approximately two years prior when a serious infection led to the decay of her nose, causing significant disfigurement.
She described undergoing ten reconstructive surgeries in Turkey over the course of a year, draining her savings and leaving her unable to work for at least six months. Aberjel recounted feeling like a "mutation" and experiencing suicidal thoughts during this difficult time, even calling her mother to express her despair. She also faced online abuse, with some users wishing her death.
Adding to her troubles, Aberjel was arrested in Thailand several months ago on suspicion of illegal business activities. However, she was later cleared of the charges by the court and had her passport returned. Aberjel is currently visiting Israel and shared these emotional accounts while speaking with "Walla Ishi," the celebrity podcast of Walla!.
