Israeli Airlines to Launch Direct Flights to Morocco This Fall
Three Israeli airlines, Arkia, El Al's subsidiary Sun d'Or, and Israir, are set to offer direct flights to Marrakech, Morocco, starting this autumn, with services expected by November. Arkia has already resumed its route to Marrakech this summer after a nearly three-year hiatus. Sun d'Or plans to operate two weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Marrakech beginning November 16. Israir will also launch two direct weekly flights to Marrakech in early November and has requested authorization for a weekly service to Casablanca, though this latter route is not yet confirmed.
The expansion of direct air travel follows recent announcements of strengthened diplomatic ties between Israel and Morocco. Notably, Royal Air Maroc, which suspended its flights to Israel after October 7, 2023, has not yet announced a date for resuming its services.
