West Bank Raids: Palestinian Youth Shot, Settler Attacks Reported

On Tuesday, Israeli military forces conducted widespread raids and searches across multiple areas of the West Bank, leading to arrests and confrontations. In the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, a young Palestinian man was shot and wounded by live ammunition during a military incursion. Local sources reported that Israeli forces detained the injured youth and initially prevented ambulance crews from reaching him for several minutes. Soldiers also reportedly assaulted several young men during their detention. The military operation in the Jenin area included the deployment of vehicles and reinforcements, with one arrest reported at a gas station.

Simultaneously, Israeli settlers launched attacks in the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Qaryut. In Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, settlers set fire to a home and several vehicles amidst ongoing military raids in the village that resulted in arrests. In Nablus, military forces entered the city and conducted searches and arrests in villages like Madama and the Balata refugee camp. Settlers also attacked the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus, during the period of military operations in the governorate.

The military operations extended to other parts of the West Bank, including the towns of Aqaba, north of Tubas; the Ras Shehadeh area in Anat, northeast of Jerusalem; and the town of Hableh, south of Qalqilya. Raids were also reported in the towns of Anabta, east of Tulkarm, and Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem. These actions were part of a broader campaign of incursions that began early Tuesday, characterized by military presence, searches, arrests, and accompanying clashes and settler attacks.
