Tel Aviv Climbs to 34th in Global City Rankings by Oxford Economics
Tel Aviv has advanced to 34th place in the latest global city rankings compiled by the British analytical firm Oxford Economics. This marks a significant jump of 12 positions from the previous year's ranking, where it stood at 46th. The comprehensive study evaluates 1,000 cities worldwide based on five key indicators: economic performance, human capital, quality of life, environmental conditions, and governance effectiveness.
Tel Aviv achieved an overall score of 81.2 out of 100. The city particularly excelled in the categories of economy and human capital. However, its performance in the governance effectiveness category was noted as its weakest point.
In the overall ranking, Tel Aviv surpassed several notable cities, including Vienna, San Diego, and Seoul. The top three cities in the ranking were New York City, followed by London and Paris. Other Israeli cities included in the study were Haifa, which ranked 144th, and Jerusalem, which placed 179th.
