Hostage Survivor: Hamas Planned Another Oct. 7 Attack

Survivors of the October 7th Hamas massacre gathered in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square on Monday, criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and demanding accountability for the failures that led to the attack. "The conspiracy of silence has been broken. More and more testimonies illustrate how much Netanyahu was warned, knew, and could have prevented the disaster," said Gabriela Leimberg, who was held captive with four family members. She revealed that Hamas terrorists told her and her sister that they were planning another October 7th-style attack and advised them not to stay in their kibbutz after their release. "I came to deliver an explicit warning straight from Gaza that I heard with my own ears," Leimberg stated, emphasizing that the terrorists specifically mentioned planning another attack and advised them to go to Argentina. She warned that without investigating the failures, such an event could happen again, urging those involved in the October 7th events to step down.

Leimberg directly addressed Netanyahu, stating, "You were supposed to be our shield and you abandoned us, and then you abandoned our friends in captivity." Michel Illouz, father of Guy Illouz, who was abducted from the Nova music festival and murdered in captivity, also spoke forcefully. He accused the government not just of a "conception" failure but of "malicious abandonment," stating his son was abandoned. He lamented that his life was cut short because Netanyahu did not listen to warnings, even from international sources.

Yasmin Porat, a survivor of the Nova festival massacre and the attack at Kibbutz Be'eri, where her partner Tal Katz was murdered, referenced recent reports that the head of Egyptian intelligence had personally warned Netanyahu days before October 7th. Porat asserted that her life cannot return to normal until the truth is revealed and those responsible for the failures are held accountable. "Without truth and without responsibility, there will be no recovery," she declared.
