Oct. 7 Survivor Accuses UN Chief, Says Hamas Plans Next Massacre

Yael Savarigo, a survivor of the October 7 Hamas attack on Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, has directly addressed UN Secretary-General António Guterres, accusing him of wrongly blaming Israel for violating peace agreements concerning the Gaza Strip. In a video message, Savarigo, who is also a leader in the Tzav 9 movement, stated that her family and she survived the brutal attack. She criticized Guterres for allegedly refusing to condemn the massacre perpetrated by Hamas and for incorrectly asserting that Israel is not adhering to the peace accord for Gaza.

Savarigo countered Guterres's claims, asserting, "Your statement that Israel is not respecting the peace agreement in the Gaza Strip is incorrect. It is Hamas that refuses to disarm and is preparing the next massacre." She emphasized that Israel remains committed to the accord, which stipulates that Gaza's reconstruction can only commence after its demilitarization to prevent future threats to the Israeli population.

Concluding her message, the October 7 survivor urged the international community and the United Nations to prioritize the disarmament of Hamas. "We demand that the international community and the UN stop supporting terrorist organizations," she stated, calling for a shift in focus away from what she perceives as support for terrorism.
