IDF Foils Weapons Smuggling Attempt Via Drone at Jordan Border

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons and ammunition magazines across the Jordan border overnight. According to an IDF spokesperson, aerial surveillance and control systems detected a drone crossing into Israeli territory from the east, carrying illicit weaponry. IDF forces from the Yoav Brigade were dispatched to the area and successfully intercepted the drone.

Upon inspection, the drone was found to be carrying nine Kalashnikov rifles, ammunition magazines, and a handgun. The seized weapons and ammunition were handed over to security forces for further investigation and processing. The incident highlights ongoing efforts to prevent the illicit transfer of arms into Israel via its eastern border.
