Election Committee and Shin Bet Discuss Preparations for Knesset Elections
The chairman of the Central Elections Committee for the 26th Knesset, Judge Noam Sohlberg, and the acting director of the committee, Adv. Dean Levnat, met on Monday with the head of the Shin Bet security agency, David Zini, and senior agency officials. The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming elections, scheduled for the 27th of next month.
During the gathering, the committee presented its election day readiness. In a joint statement, Judge Sohlberg and Shin Bet chief Zini emphasized that "holding free and fair elections is a cornerstone of the democratic system in Israel." They affirmed that the Elections Committee and the Shin Bet are working in full coordination to ensure the elections proceed smoothly and to protect the electoral process from any attempts at disruption or unlawful influence.
