PR Guru Roni Rahav Slams Bereaved Father Over Hostage Survivor Comments

Public relations executive Roni Rahav has strongly criticized Itzik Bonzel, a father who lost his son in the war and is slated for a Likud party list spot, for his harsh remarks against hostage survivor Yocheved Lifshitz. Lifshitz, 88, had claimed in a Channel 13 interview that billionaire Miriam Adelson, not the government, was responsible for her release from Hamas captivity. She also criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that if his government remains after the election, it would be a disaster for the country.

Bonzel, whose son Amit was killed during the conflict, responded with fury, writing that hundreds of heroes, some of whom never returned, were responsible for Lifshitz's rescue, not Adelson. He expressed his pain and anger over Lifshitz's statements, calling them "pathetic, infuriating, and disconnected."

Rahav, who has been critical of Netanyahu in the past, defended Lifshitz, calling her a "holy woman" who endured "hell in the tunnels of Gaza." He told Bonzel, "Who gave you the right to touch a holy woman? Take your shoes off your feet when you speak like this." Rahav added, "I am sure your heroic son, the salt of the earth who is holy in my eyes, would be ashamed of everything you are doing. Shame, and I hope you never see the Knesset from the inside. Amen and amen."

Rahav also recently criticized Netanyahu over a new Likud campaign highlighting IDF and Mossad achievements in Lebanon, stating that "there is no absolute victory in Gaza, not in Iran, and not in Lebanon." He called the campaign's attribution of intelligence and operational successes solely to Netanyahu "beautiful, but a huge fake."
