15-Year-Old Illegal Resident Caught After Car Theft Attempt in Ness Ziona
Police say a 15-year-old Palestinian minor, an illegal resident from the West Bank, tried to steal a car in Ness Ziona last weekend and was caught after a police chase through the city. A body camera recorded the arrest.
According to the police, officers on routine nighttime patrol noticed a vehicle that aroused suspicion. When the driver was asked to stop, he fled, leading to a pursuit through local streets. The suspect was eventually detained and taken for questioning at the police station.
After the investigation, he was jailed and brought before court, which extended his detention. An indictment is expected in the coming days.
