Former Player Slams Oscar Garcia's Conduct as Maccabi Tel Aviv Coach

Former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Oscar Garcia is facing criticism from a former player, Alberto Botía, who described Garcia's behavior during their time together as "very bad" and "impolite." Botía, who played under Garcia at Celta Vigo, revealed in an interview that Garcia would often ignore the players, failing even to greet them in the morning. Botía stated that Garcia's assistant coach ran all the training sessions, and Garcia himself "was a bad person."

Botía also mentioned that Garcia's conduct led him to believe the coach would not remain with the team for long. He further noted that he was not included in any preparation matches during Garcia's tenure at Celta Vigo. Garcia led the team to secure its place in Spain's La Liga in his first season but was dismissed in November of his second season after winning only one of nine matches.

Since his departure from Israel, Garcia has managed several clubs, including Celta Vigo, Reims, Sint-Truiden, Chivas Guadalajara, Ajax (as interim coach), and Pogoń Szczecin.
