Ex-Player Slams Oscar Garcia's Poor Manners and Coaching
Former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Oscar Garcia is facing criticism from a former player, Alberto Vadillo, who described Garcia as "very bad" and "impolite." Vadillo, who played under Garcia, claimed that the coach would arrive at training sessions without greeting the players and that his assistant coach ran all the training sessions. Vadillo stated, "He was a bad person. I had a feeling he wouldn't stay long." Vadillo also mentioned that he was not included in any of Celta Vigo's preparation games during Garcia's tenure.
Garcia coached Celta Vigo for just over a season, securing their place in Spain's La Liga in his first year. However, he was dismissed in November of his second season after the team won only one of their first nine matches. Since leaving Israel, Garcia has managed several clubs, including Celta Vigo, Reims, Leuven, Guadalajara, Ajax (as interim coach), and Pogon Szczecin.
