The 48-year-old singer shared a graphic image of the burn and blisters on her Instagram story, stating, "Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before set - but the show must go on." She expressed gratitude to the Dusseldorf audience for their support and anticipation for the upcoming show in Amsterdam.

Despite the injury, Scherzinger proceeded with the performance as part of the Pussycat Dolls' PCD Forever Tour. This reunion tour follows Scherzinger's recent Tony Award win for her role in "Sunset Blvd." on Broadway. The tour has faced challenges, including the cancellation of its North American leg in May due to low ticket sales.

Further complicating the reunion, band members Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts announced their return to performing together, a move that reportedly surprised fellow original members Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar. Bachar, an Israeli member of the original lineup, shared fan discontent over her exclusion and later stated that her 2008 departure from the group was not her own decision.
