PR Guru Slams Netanyahu's Campaign Crediting Him for Hezbollah Strike
Public relations expert Roni Rahav has launched a sharp critique against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party's new online campaign, which attributes the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to Netanyahu's leadership. The campaign, released by the "Melukadim" movement, features an animated video depicting 'axis of evil' leaders in a jacuzzi, accompanied by birthday balloons and beepers, culminating in Nasrallah's assassination and Netanyahu's declaration that he "is no longer with us." The video concludes with the slogan "Netanyahu does not surrender."
Rahav expressed his strong disapproval of the campaign's timing and its claim of credit. In a pointed social media post, he argued that such actions should have occurred before the October 7th attacks. Rahav further alleged that Netanyahu approved the operation with a year-and-a-half delay, questioning the prime minister's rhetoric of decisive victory in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon, stating, "You understand there is no absolute victory."
He concluded his criticism by calling the attribution of the intelligence and operational success to Netanyahu personally a "huge fake." This is not the first time Rahav has publicly opposed Netanyahu. Previously, Rahav defended the Arab public in Israel, criticizing Netanyahu's rhetoric and highlighting the contributions of Arab citizens to the healthcare and nursing sectors, emphasizing their exemplary behavior during the war and their right to support any political candidate without facing racism from the prime minister.
