PR Executive Blames Netanyahu for Controversial Film on Israeli Soldiers

Public outcry and political tensions surrounding the controversial documentary "Nez" (נז"א) have escalated, with prominent public relations executive Rani Rahav launching a sharp criticism against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This follows Netanyahu's own strong condemnation of the film's creators and calls to cancel a surplus agreement with MK Yair Golan.

Rahav directly accused Netanyahu of being responsible for the film's creation, stating in a pointed tweet, "Mr. Prime Minister, you are guilty of this film." Rahav argued that Netanyahu's silence on "Jewish terrorism" and his allowance of ministers and Knesset members like Bezalel Smotrich, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Simcha Rothman to attack innocent people led to the film's production. Rahav emphasized that he does not condone the film itself, calling it "a disgraceful film that does enormous damage to Israel in the world, and for that there is no forgiveness for its creators."

Rahav further accused the Prime Minister of exploiting the controversy for political gain, specifically to attack Yair Golan and Gadi Eisenkot. He likened Netanyahu to an arsonist who enjoys starting fires but not extinguishing them, stating, "You are using this to continue the 'divide and conquer' that you love most. It is your job to calm things down, not add fuel to the fire, but this nation is not a fool."

Previously, Rahav had strongly defended the IDF, calling it "the most ethical army," and criticized the film's creators, saying they would receive praise abroad but scorn in Israel, and that they should be ashamed.
