Rahav's strong condemnation stems from recent reports alleging that the United Arab Emirates issued a prior warning to Israel regarding potential threats ahead of the October 7th Hamas attacks.

In a series of posts on social media, Rahav directly accused Netanyahu of being responsible for the failures leading up to the attacks. He specifically cited the alleged warning from the UAE, stating, "Smoking gun! Resign immediately! You are guilty!" Rahav also linked Netanyahu's alleged fear of a state inquiry commission into the October 7th disaster to these reports, urging him to leave office without delay.

The controversy intensified as Rahav referenced the UAE presidential office not denying the reports, further fueling his accusations. This public outcry follows a statement from the Prime Minister's Office announcing legal action, including a defamation suit against the newspaper Haaretz and journalist Schlomi Eldar, for reporting on the alleged UAE warning. The Prime Minister's Office vehemently denied these reports, labeling them a "wicked fabrication and an absolute lie."

Furthermore, the Prime Minister's Office pointed fingers at Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, accusing them of failing to adequately inform Netanyahu of the intelligence indicating an impending threat.
