Maccabi Haifa Resumes Training Ahead of League Return
Maccabi Haifa will resume training on Monday following a nearly week-long break for international matches. Coach Barak Bakhar faces a depleted squad, as several players are away on national duty. Among them is Kengy Hooray, a player for the Curaçao national team, who recently scored four goals in four days and starred in a 6-1 victory against Nicaragua. Maccabi Haifa hopes Hooray will translate his national team form to the league, as the captain has had a slow start to the season.
This week, the team will play a practice match against Hapoel Kfar Saba, with whom they have a cooperative relationship. Players from Kfar Saba who are on loan to the team include Daniel Drezzi, Moran Ha'lev, Adi Tzur, and Yisrael Cohen. The loaned players will join Maccabi Haifa later.
Once the national team players return, Bakhar will be able to focus more on tactical aspects and address shortcomings from their last league match against Ironi Tiberias, as the league season restarts.
