Netanyahu Says IDF Has Full Freedom to Thwart Threats in Southern Lebanon
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon have complete freedom to prevent any direct or emerging threat to themselves or to residents of northern Israel. He added that the IDF faces no restrictions in carrying out that mission.
Netanyahu also said he firmly supports keeping Israeli forces in Lebanon’s security zone in the south for as long as necessary. In his words, Israel will remain there as needed in order to protect residents of the north and all of the country’s citizens.
