Einav Boblil Reveals Childhood Trauma Over Body Image on Assi Azar Show

Reality TV personality Einav Boblil shared a deeply personal story about her struggles with body image and self-harm during an appearance on Assi Azar's new television show, "Who's Starting?". The unscripted program features celebrities in a 360-degree studio setting.

Boblil revealed that from the age of 13, she would obsessively pinch herself in various parts of her body, including her hands and groin, causing hyperpigmentation. She described this as a compulsive behavior that lasted for 26 years, often preventing her from sleeping at night, and that she confirmed it was a coping mechanism to relax when Azar inquired.

During psychological therapy, Boblil discovered that this behavior stemmed from her childhood experiences of being overweight, different, and taller than her peers. She confessed, "I hated the small, fat, and different Einav." She stated that she has not engaged in this behavior for the past seven months and is now in a different place emotionally.

This candid conversation comes less than a year after Azar and Yael Poliakov's podcast, "Beit HaPodium," sparked controversy. Poliakov faced backlash for referring to overweight women as "cows" and suggesting they exploit their weight to become "self-love teachers." Boblil's appearance on Azar's new show offers a more sensitive and vulnerable approach to the topic of body image.
