Inbal Eldan, who was voted out of Israel’s "Big Brother" last week and finished in 10th place this season, opened up about a serious eating disorder she had in the past. Although she entered the house only in the second wave of contestants, she became one of the season’s more prominent housemates because of her upbeat personality and energy.
Eldan addressed the issue during a Tuesday Instagram Q&A with followers, after one asked her to post a daily food summary or explain how many meals she eats. She replied that she wanted to speak openly about food because "food is an old love story" for her, and said, "I had a very serious eating disorder that I got rid of later."
She added that the lesson was to let go, stop counting calories, and focus on nutritious, healthy food. According to Eldan, she eats two to three balanced meals a day, works out a lot, avoids staying hungry, and drinks three liters of water. She also said that if she wants to eat "a lafa" or have cake, she should do it and then balance it afterward with healthy food, stressing, "There are no miracles in my opinion."
The article also notes the attention surrounding her relationship in the house with Moshe Dehari, which drew criticism both inside and outside the show, largely because of their age gap. Eldan is 36, while Dehari is 20. After her elimination, she said Dehari is currently "in the block" for her, though it remains to be seen how their relationship develops outside the house.
