Reality Star Gal Kaspas Reveals Severe Online Harassment After Big Brother Stint

Gal Kaspas, founder of the 'Pilates Academy' chain and a familiar face to Israeli reality TV fans, is currently participating in the cooking competition show 'MasterChef'. Her return to the public eye follows a period of lower profile, during which she chose to step back from the spotlight due to intense online hate she experienced after appearing on the 2023 season of 'Big Brother'.

In an Instagram Q&A session, Kaspas explained her hiatus, stating, "I wanted to disappear for a moment because after a period in the spotlight where I wasn't liked very much, I just wanted to stop taking fire. It was hard for me to handle it." She admitted that while she still receives negative comments, she has decided to embrace them and learn from the experience.

Kaspas's decision to withdraw was prompted by disturbing verbal abuse. In a recent interview with mako magazine, she shared details of extreme online attacks, including horrific wishes for her daughter's death and for her to contract cancer. A turning point came when a persistent harasser made regular threats, which were only stopped after she filed a police complaint.

"It put me in real anxiety," Kaspas confessed, but emphasized that her children are her anchor and provide her with the strength to continue, despite their own difficulties with the situation. Her return to television and the culinary world comes after a particularly challenging time, marked by severe online attacks that led to her police report and significant anxiety.
