Netanyahu to Escalate Attacks on Opponent Ofer Winter Post-Holiday

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to intensify his attacks against Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Am Echad Yisrael" movement, immediately following the upcoming holiday. The Likud party is preparing for further actions, including sharp personal attacks and a billboard campaign targeting Winter.

Netanyahu recently launched the Likud campaign in Tel Aviv, where he focused his speech on his rivalry with Winter. He warned voters against supporting parties that might not pass the electoral threshold or could transfer votes to Avigdor Lieberman's party. During the event, Likud activists continued to collect user data for the "Elector" app, despite a High Court ruling against its use.

The campaign launch followed the introduction of seven new candidates on the Likud's list, including Yaakov Bardugo, who was promised the Justice Ministry or another senior ministerial role. Other new additions include reservist fighter Elisha Medan, Talik Guili, Itzik Bonzel, attorney David Peter, former MK Eli Goldschmidt, and Brigadier General (res.) Amir Aviv, who reportedly accepted a ministerial appointment in exchange for relinquishing his spot on the list.

Netanyahu characterized the upcoming election as critical, presenting the choice as between a right-wing government and a left-wing government supported by Arab parties.
