Police Rescue Man Injured in Forest Near Jerusalem

Israeli police rescued a man who spent the night lost and injured in a forest near Jerusalem on September 27th. The man had sustained a leg injury after stepping awkwardly while checking a route for his vehicle in a rugged area. He was unable to move on his own and had reportedly left his mobile phone in the car, preventing him from calling for help.

His cries for assistance were eventually heard by teenagers early in the morning, who then alerted the authorities. Police officers from the Harel station launched a search operation in the dark and located the man, who required immediate medical attention. He was transferred to a medical team, who assessed his condition as light.

The incident occurred near the Nativ ha-Porzim trail in Mevaseret Zion, west of Jerusalem. This was the second similar incident reported that day. In a separate event, a 42-year-old man suffered serious injuries after falling approximately five meters from a cliff near the Aminadav forest, also in the Jerusalem vicinity. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and his condition is described as serious.
