Netivei Ayalon CEO Fired Over Resume Discrepancies
The head of Netivei Ayalon, Idan David, has been removed from his position following the discovery of significant discrepancies between his submitted resume and the records of companies where he previously worked. The decision was made by the committee for appointments in state-owned companies.
According to the economic publication Calcalist, David is suspected of document forgery and other offenses, prompting the State Companies Authority to file a police complaint. His resume claimed he worked at Migdalit, a company with a balance sheet of approximately 1.1 billion shekels, revenues of about 814 million shekels, and 407 employees. However, Migdalit's financial statements from 2015 show revenues of only 16.9 million shekels and a balance sheet of 19.2 million shekels.
Furthermore, David listed his role as CEO of IDY GROUP, stating revenues of 2.1 billion shekels, a balance sheet of 4.8 billion shekels, and 320 employees. An investigation revealed that this company, headed by David's wife, reportedly has no offices and its financial figures are substantially lower than claimed.
Following this investigation and dismissal, David is also expected to be removed from his role as a board member of the Sports Toto organization.
