Rami Levy Recalls Children's Tricycle Over Detaching Handle Risk

Israeli supermarket chain Rami Levy has issued a recall for a children's tricycle, the "Lunabo 6-in-1" model, due to a potential safety hazard. The company announced on Sunday that the rear push handle, used by parents to steer the toddler, may detach unexpectedly during use. This poses a risk to the child seated in the tricycle.

Rami Levy has instructed customers to immediately stop using the product with the rear handle. Videos documenting the handle detaching during use have already begun circulating on social media platforms. The recall comes just days after the chain aggressively promoted the product at a discounted price.

Customers who purchased the tricycle are urged to bring it to any Rami Levy or Rami Levy Stock branch. They will have the option to choose between a full refund or a repair of the product along with compensation, according to instructions provided at the store.

In response, Rami Levy stated that upon receiving information raising safety concerns, the company immediately removed the product from shelves even before the public recall notice was issued. The company emphasized its commitment to customer safety and confirmed that the product, imported by Orsher Investment and Real Estate Initiatives, holds the necessary safety certifications.
