New Israeli Drama 'The Escape' Explores Dangers of Cults
The upcoming Israeli drama series "The Escape" (HaBricha), set to premiere on Keshet 12, delves into the perilous world of cults. The series stars Yehuda Levi as a former security official who aids a young man, played by Ido Tako, in his desperate attempt to rescue his wife and son from a closed and dangerous cult.
As the rescue mission escalates in complexity and danger, the protagonist is forced to seek external help. The plot thickens as the characters become increasingly entangled in the cult's insular environment, highlighting the extreme measures one might take to reunite a family.
Inspired by real-life cult stories from recent years, "The Escape" features a cast including Ido Tako, Itay Turgeman, Maor Schweitzer, Ben Sultan, Naya Binetsky, Lia Elaluf, and Mark Ivanir. The series was filmed abroad, written and directed by Ariel Cohen and the Paz brothers (Yoav and Doron), and produced by Racehorse Productions in partnership with Eisenbach Productions.
