Knesset Member Accuses Former Attorney General of Fear Ahead of Netanyahu Trial Testimony

Knesset Member Moshe Saada launched a sharp attack on former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Sunday, ahead of Mandelblit's expected testimony in the trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Speaking on Radio Gal Israel, Saada questioned Mandelblit's requests to postpone his testimony, citing the upcoming academic year as an excuse.

Saada expressed his belief that Mandelblit fears accountability for his decisions, stating, "Mandelblit is truly afraid. He never thought he would be held accountable for these things, that someone would lift the curtain and examine them." Saada questioned the validity of postponing seven hearings due to the start of the academic year.

Based on his prior acquaintance with Mandelblit, Saada described him as a "very smart and sharp man, but weak and cowardly," adding, "I don't see him holding up on the witness stand." Saada anticipates that Mandelblit will struggle under questioning due to existing documentation in the case.

"He will start to get confused, he will try to go with 'I don't remember,' but it won't help him because there are documents. Everything is documented. In the end, there is justice and a judge," Saada concluded.
