Israeli Hiker Missing for a Week on Mount Olympus in Greece

An Israeli man, 46-year-old Ami Yogev from Modi'in, has been missing for a week on Mount Olympus in Greece. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, with no confirmed information on his whereabouts. The Magnus company, coordinating with Yogev's family and local authorities, has deployed a specialized team including two field experts, complex event managers, and a drone operator. They are working closely with local police and fire departments, as well as the Israeli Consulate and a network of volunteers.

Magnus is appealing to other Israelis who were in the area on September 19th and 20th for any photos or information that could aid the search. The search efforts have been narrowed down to two main areas. The weather on the mountain has been challenging, with rain and fog, conditions that also prevailed when Yogev was last seen.

Local authorities are working to gain access to Yogev's phone data to assist in locating him. Yogev arrived in Greece two weeks ago to climb Mount Olympus. He last communicated with his mother on Sunday, September 20th, stating he was heading towards the summit and later reached a cabin. His rented car was found at a parking lot near the mountain.
