Two Palestinians Arrested in West Bank for Illicit Weapons Manufacturing

Israeli police arrested two Palestinians from the Nablus area on suspicion of manufacturing and possessing illegal weapons. The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation by police in Ariel, which directed IDF forces from the Samaria Brigade to search the Askar refugee camp.

During the search, forces discovered ten lathes, a modified dummy weapon, and parts for firearms, including an M-16 rifle stock and charging handle. Additional military equipment and technological devices were also seized. The two suspects, a 21-year-old from Nablus and a 37-year-old from the Rujeib neighborhood, were taken for questioning.

Their detention was extended by a court until September 28, at the police's request. Police stated they will continue efforts to locate and confiscate illegal weapons and prosecute those found in possession of them.
