NBA Guard Josh Christopher Joins Israeli Basketball Club Ness Ziona
Israeli basketball club Ironi Ness Ziona announced the signing of American guard Josh Christopher, who previously played in the Chinese league. Christopher, 24, stands at 1.95 meters tall and brings significant NBA experience to the team, having played 152 games for the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat. He was a first-round draft pick in 2021 after playing at Arizona State University.
Christopher replaces Bryce Brown, whose release from the team was described as surprising. The new guard began last season in the NBA G League before finishing with Shenzhen in China, where he averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. Throughout his NBA career, he averaged 6.5 points per game, shooting 27% from three-point range. His rookie season saw him average 7.9 points, 2 assists, and 2.5 rebounds.
Upon signing, Christopher expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Proud to join Ness Ziona. I am ready to start working and look forward to taking the court in front of our fans. Excited to get started."
