Hapoel Ness Ziona Signs Guard Josh Christopher with NBA Experience
Israeli basketball club Hapoel Ness Ziona has signed American guard Josh Christopher, who previously played in the NBA and the Chinese league. The move comes after the team surprisingly released guard Bryce Brown.
Christopher, 24, stands at 1.95 meters tall and began his college career at Arizona State University. He was a first-round draft pick, 24th overall, in the 2021 NBA draft. He has logged 152 appearances in the NBA for the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat.
Last season, Christopher started in the G League before finishing with Shenzhen in the Chinese league. There, he averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. Throughout his NBA career, he averaged 6.5 points per game, shooting 27% from three-point range. In his rookie season, he posted solid numbers with 7.9 points, 2 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game.
Upon signing, Christopher expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Proud to join Ness Ziona. I am ready to start working and look forward to taking the court in front of our fans. Excited to get started."
