UN Blacklists Major Israeli Brands Operating in West Bank Settlements
The United Nations has significantly expanded its "black list" of companies operating in Israeli settlements in the West Bank, adding 61 new entities. Among the prominent Israeli companies and brands now included are Tnuva, Aroma Espresso Bar, the BBB restaurant chain, Cafe Joe, and Carmel Winery. The updated list now comprises a total of 214 companies whose owners, parent structures, or headquarters are registered in 11 different countries, an increase from 158 companies the previous year. While five companies were removed from the list, services like Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor, and Motorola remain on it. Israel vehemently condemned the UN's decision, labeling the list a "political tool" and a "distorted mechanism" employed against companies that have committed no wrongdoing.
