Court Halts Maccabi Umm Al-Fahm Activities Amid Unification with Hapoel

The General Union Court has suspended the activities of the Maccabi Umm Al-Fahm youth team until the end of the current season and imposed a fine of 1,000 shekels. This decision comes in response to the team's request to withdraw from the league as part of a unification project with the Hapoel Umm Al-Fahm team. The unification aims to create a single, strong team supported by the city's residents.

Faiq Mahamid, recently the official spokesperson for Maccabi Umm Al-Fahm, expressed satisfaction with the project's implementation, noting a long-standing desire for unity between the two clubs and support from fans. He stated that players currently under contract with Maccabi are free to act as they wish, as they are no longer formally tied to the team following the unification decision. A meeting is scheduled for Saturday with coaches and players to officially inform them of the changes.

Mahamid also addressed the financial aspects for current players, confirming that all players will receive their wages for the period preceding the unification announcement. The unified administrative body has been established, comprising Bilal Abdel Nasser, Shadi Aghbariya, and Mohammed Ali Sabah from Hapoel Umm Al-Fahm, and Mustafa Mahamid, Ali Mahamid, and Faiq Mahamid from Maccabi. The new unified team welcomes all forms of support.
