Cyclist Dies After Being Hit by Car Near Magshimim Junction
A cyclist, approximately 40 years old, was killed Saturday morning after being struck by a car on Highway 98 near the Magshimim Junction in central Israel. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical teams arriving at the scene described the incident as severe. Paramedics and EMTs found the cyclist unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, while civilians were performing basic CPR.
The medical teams continued resuscitation efforts but were ultimately forced to declare the cyclist, who sustained severe head injuries, dead at the scene. The driver of the private vehicle involved in the collision sustained minor injuries, according to an MDA statement.
