Cyclist Dies After Being Hit by Car Near Magshimim Junction
A cyclist, approximately 40 years old, was killed Saturday morning after being struck by a car on Highway 98 near the Magshimim Junction. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene to find the cyclist unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and pronounced him dead. The driver of the private vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Paramedic Yaniv Enzel and EMTs Neria Yona and Gilad Cohen from Magen David Adom (MDA) described the scene, stating, "We saw the cyclist lying unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and civilians at the scene were performing basic CPR. We were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene. The driver of the private vehicle was lightly injured."
